Rajasthan Government orders major reshuffle of over 35 IPS officers

In a significant administrative overhaul, the Government of Rajasthan has announced a major reshuffle involving more than three dozen IPS officers across the state.

As part of the new assignments:

  • Sanjay Kumar Agrawal has been appointed as Director General (DG), Law & Order, with additional charge of DG, Police Housing.
  • Govind Gupta will now serve as DG, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), while Anil Paliwal has been posted as DG, Training & Traffic.
  • Anand Kumar Shrivastava takes charge as DG, Special Operations, and Ashok Kumar Rathod assumes duties as DG, Jail.
  • Mrs. Malini Agrawal becomes DG & Commandant General, Home Defence, and Dr. Prashakha Mathur takes over as ADG, Planning, Modernization & Welfare.
  • Other key postings include Biju George Joseph as ADG, Personnel and Re-organization & Rules, Sushmita Biswas as ADG, Railways, Dinesh M.N. as ADG, ATS, and Sachin Mittal as Police Commissioner, Jaipur.

Several other senior officers have been reassigned to critical law enforcement roles across Jaipur, Ferozepur, and other divisions, as the government aims to enhance policing efficiency, intelligence coordination, and field operations.
