Senior IAS officer Rajit Punhani has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) at the Secretary level. Belonging to the 1991 batch of the Bihar cadre, Mr. Punhani brings with him decades of administrative experience. His leadership is expected to further boost FSSAI’s initiatives towards ensuring safe, nutritious, and quality food standards across the country.
