Stepping up its commitment to environmental sustainability, REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited, has inked a landmark Memorandum of Agreement with the Kaziranga Tiger Conservation Foundation (KTCF). Through this pact, a CSR grant of ₹5.43 crore will be directed towards the installation of solar power units and RO drinking water systems across anti-poaching camps in the iconic Kaziranga National Park & Tiger Reserve.
This initiative not only aims to enhance frontline forest infrastructure but also significantly reduce the park’s reliance on diesel generators and plastic waste, aligning with broader climate-conscious goals. The MoA was signed in the presence of Ms. Sonali Ghosh, IFS, and Pradeep Fellows, symbolizing a strong synergy between corporate responsibility and conservation. Also present was REC CMD Jitendra Srivastava, underlining the strategic importance of this partnership.
