REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSU and leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, has added another feather to its cap by bagging the prestigious ASSOCHAM CSR & Sustainability Award 2024 in the category ‘Excellence in Providing Support to Healthcare’. The accolade was presented at the 6th ASSOCHAM CSR and Sustainability Conference held in Hyderabad, where Anjan Lahiri, Senior GM and HoD (REC Foundation), accepted the award on behalf of REC from Telangana Deputy Chief Minister, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
This award recognizes REC’s enduring dedication to social responsibility, particularly in healthcare, channelled through its CSR arm, REC Foundation. With a strong track record, REC had previously received accolades for transformative initiatives in Aspirational Districts, especially for programs aimed at Divyangjan welfare.
Further cementing its place as a CSR leader, REC ranked 4th among all CPSUs in CSR contributions as per the Public Enterprise Survey 2023–24 by the Department of Public Enterprises. The organization continues to promote inclusive growth and equitable access to essential services, echoing its core mission of empowering communities across India.
