In a significant development in the public sector infrastructure sector, the Competent Authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IRCON International Limited to Saleem Ahmad (DIN: 10119432), who is currently serving as CMD of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).
According to the official decision, Saleem Ahmad will hold the additional responsibility for a period of one year with effect from the date he assumes charge on or after July 1, 2026. The arrangement will remain in force until a regular incumbent takes over the position or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
IRCON has initiated the necessary formalities for his appointment in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements. The company is expected to make the requisite disclosures upon his formal assumption of charge.
The appointment is aimed at ensuring continuity in leadership and smooth execution of ongoing infrastructure and railway development projects undertaken by the Navratna public sector enterprise.
