Sanjay Singhal, a 1993 batch IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the new Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Special Director General in the Border Security Force (BSF). His elevation marks a significant leadership shift in one of India’s key central armed police forces guarding the country’s borders.
