Shashank Anand has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) for the Jammu Frontier, overseeing the International Border from Jammu to Kathua. A 2006-batch IPS officer from the Haryana cadre, Anand replaces IG D.K. Boora, who held the position since October 2021.
