Tamil Nadu transfers 27 IAS officers; Three Districts get new Collectors

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a major IAS reshuffle involving 27 officers, with significant changes in key departments, state-run organisations, municipal bodies and district administration.

Dharmendra Pratap Yadav has been appointed Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, moving from his post as CMD, TANSI. N. Muruganandham, who was Revenue Administration and Disaster Management Commissioner, has been shifted as CMD, TANSI.

B. Chandramohan will now head Revenue Administration and Disaster Management as Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner, while J. Innocent Divya has been appointed Secretary, School Education.

Three New District Collectors:

The reshuffle also names new Collectors for three districts:

Sharanya Ari — Collector, Virudhunagar
F. Abdul Razick — Collector, Perambalur
V. Nallasivan — Collector, Tirupattur

Other notable postings include Veer Pratap Singh as Executive Director, SIPCOT; N. Ponmani as Tiruchi Corporation Commissioner; A. Catherine Saranya as Vellore Corporation Commissioner; and Dr V.P. Jeyaseelan as MD, Metropolitan Transport Corporation.

The wide-ranging order covers Secretariat departments, district administration, municipal corporations and government-owned bodies, making it a significant bureaucratic reorganisation in Tamil Nadu.
