In a sweeping administrative reshuffle, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has reassigned several key IAS officers. Lakko Venkateshwarlu has been relieved from the charge of Principal Secretary, Transport and Chairman of UPSRTC, with Amit Gupta now holding both roles in addition to his existing responsibilities. Other pivotal changes include Vishal Singh becoming Director, Information; Shishir Singh heading the MSME department and KVIB; Kaushal Raj Sharma moving to the CM’s Office as Secretary; and S. Rajalingam taking over as Divisional Commissioner, Varanasi.

Significant urban development positions have also been reassigned—Sanjay Kumar Meena as VC of Meerut Development Authority and Anubhav Singh as VC of Moradabad. Gaurav Kumar is the new Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow, while Indrajit Singh takes over Energy and UP-NEDA. Several Special Secretaries, CDOs, and mission heads have been newly appointed, signifying a recalibration of governance dynamics in the state.
