The Delhi Government has appointed Virender Singh Chahal as the new Director General (Civil Defence). Belonging to the 1991 batch of the AGMUT cadre, Chahal brings years of service experience to this critical role. His leadership is expected to further strengthen Delhi’s civil defence preparedness, disaster management, and community safety mechanisms, ensuring better coordination during emergencies and crises.
