The Punjab Government has undertaken a major reshuffle in the police administration, assigning fresh responsibilities to 11 IPS officers across the state. Anita Punj has been appointed as Special DGP, HRD & Welfare, Chandigarh, while Pradeep Kumar Yadav takes over as IGP, Technical Services, Chandigarh. Dhanpreet Kaur has been posted as Director, MRS PPA, Phillaur.
Among other key postings, Satinder Singh has been named Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar; Vivek Sheel Soni as DIG, Border Range, Amritsar; Surinderjit Singh as DIG, Prisons; Kanwaldeep Singh as DIG, Law & Order, Chandigarh; Sandeep Kumar Sharma as DIG, PAP-II, Jalandhar; Sandeep Goel as DIG, Ludhiana Range; Suhail Qasim Mir as AIG, Personnel-I, Chandigarh; and Pragya Jain as AIG, Law & Order, Chandigarh.
