Ashish Goyal, a 1996 batch officer of the Indian Information Service, has been appointed as Director General (Media) at the Election Commission of India. Prior to this, he served as Additional DG at the National Museum.
His new role comes at the level of Joint Secretary and places him at the heart of election-related media strategy and outreach for the nation.
