Engineers India Limited (EIL) has achieved a major milestone with the successful completion of project management for the 132 km Durgapur-Kolkata section of the Durgapur-Haldia Natural Gas Pipeline under the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga initiative.

1,030 km Network Strengthens India’s Energy Backbone:
Spanning over 1,000 km with multiple diameters, the pipeline network connects Dobhi-Durgapur, Durgapur-Haldia, and Dhamra-Haldia. EIL, as the Project Management Consultant, played a critical role in overcoming Right of Use challenges and executing 130+ crossings using advanced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) techniques.
Roopnarayan River Crossing a Technical Feat:
A highlight was the 2.8 km HDD intersect crossing under the Roopnarayan River—a testament to EIL’s technical prowess and commitment to India’s energy transition.
This achievement adds to EIL’s growing list of successful infrastructure projects, reinforcing its reputation as a pillar of India’s clean energy future.
