Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has launched Project “SAKSHAM” in Gorakhpur to enhance youth employability through skill development. The initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of HURL, in the presence of the Vice Chancellor of Deen Dayal Upadhyay University.

The event saw participation from HURL’s senior leadership, CSR team, and representatives from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) along with training partners.

Implemented in collaboration with NSDC, Project SAKSHAM aims to equip underprivileged and unemployed youth with industry-relevant skills. A total of 2,265 beneficiaries across Gorakhpur, Barauni, and Sindri will be trained, including 400 youth from Gorakhpur under a Rs. 1.49 crore program.

The initiative is part of HURL’s CSR efforts focused on sustainable livelihoods, self-employment, and bridging the gap between education and job readiness.
