The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a significant reshuffle involving nine senior IPS officers, assigning them to crucial policing and administrative responsibilities across the state. The latest postings are aimed at strengthening law enforcement, cyber security, traffic management and regional policing operations in UP.
Senior IPS officer Jai Narayan Singh has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP), Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Dhruv Kant Thakur has been posted as DGP and Commandant General, Home Guard, while also holding the additional responsibility of DGP, Civil Security.
Binod Kumar Singh has taken charge as DGP, Criminal Investigation Department (CID). In addition to this role, he has also been entrusted with the responsibilities of DGP, Cyber Crime and DGP, Dial-112. Alok Singh has been appointed as DGP, PAC Headquarters, along with additional charge of DGP, Special Protection Force.
Mrs Anupam Kulshrestha has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kanpur Zone. A Satish Ganesh will serve as ADGP, Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety and has also been given additional charge of ADGP, Crime.
Dr R K Swarnkar has been appointed as ADGP, UP Power Corporation, Lucknow, while S K Bhagat has been posted as ADGP, Agra Zone. Meanwhile, Mrs Gita Singh has been assigned the role of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Directorate of Training.
The reshuffle is being viewed as an important administrative move aimed at enhancing policing efficiency and strengthening public security mechanisms across Uttar Pradesh.
