State-owned Pawan Hans Limited (PHL) and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen helicopter tourism and improve digital access to regional air connectivity services across India. The two public sector organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IRCTC Corporate Office in New Delhi on 13 July 2026.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Sunil Kumar Nagdawne, Chairman and Managing Director of Pawan Hans Limited; Sanjay Kumar Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of IRCTC; and Rahul Himalian, Director (Tourism & Marketing), IRCTC. The MoU was formally executed by Manish Rokade, Officiating Executive Director (Business Development & Marketing) and OSD to CMD, PHL, along with Promila Gupta, Group General Manager (Tourism), IRCTC.
As part of the collaboration, Pawan Hans will integrate its helicopter services, including operations under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-UDAN), with IRCTC’s well-established digital ticketing platform. The initiative will enable passengers to book helicopter services through IRCTC’s website and mobile applications, making air travel to remote and tourist destinations more convenient and widely accessible.
The partnership is expected to simplify the booking process, improve refund management, and provide a more user-friendly digital experience for travellers. By combining Pawan Hans’ aviation capabilities with IRCTC’s extensive online reach, both organisations aim to promote heli tourism, strengthen regional connectivity, and support the Government of India’s vision of expanding tourism infrastructure through technology-driven public services.
