In a major bureaucratic reshuffle aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency across the state, the Bihar Government on Sunday transferred seven IAS officers and 45 Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers. The General Administration Department issued separate notifications announcing the new postings and assignments.
Among the key IAS-level changes, Sanjay Kumar, who was serving as Officer on Special Duty in the State Election Commission, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department. Mukesh Kumar, previously posted as Settlement Officer in Gaya, has been transferred to the Provident Fund Directorate under the Finance Department. The government stated that the reshuffle is intended to enhance administrative effectiveness and streamline governance at both the state and district levels.
