In a major administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government has transferred and assigned new responsibilities to 44 IPS officers across various police units and departments. Vijay Kharat has been appointed DCP, Navi Mumbai, while Vishal Gaikwad will serve as ACP, Loh Marg, Pune City. Ganesh Shinde has been posted as DCP, Brihanmumbai.

Among other important appointments, Dinesh Bari has been shifted as SP, Anti-Terrorism Squad, Mumbai, while Ujjwala Banker joins the State Intelligence Department, Mumbai. Sandeep Jadhav has been appointed SP, CID, Nashik, and Yashwant Solankhe will take charge as ASP, Anti-Narcotics Squad, Nagpur. Pankaj Dahane, Kavita Nerkar and Purnima Chougule have been posted as DCPs in Brihanmumbai.

The reshuffle also includes appointments of officers in key intelligence, crime investigation, cyber security and special operations units. Pallavi Barge has been appointed SP, Information Technology Department, Pune, while Gitesh Ghatte will serve as SP, Force One. Vaishali Shinde has been posted as DCP, Special Security Squad, State Intelligence Department, and Vikram Deshmukh has been transferred as DCP, Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar. The large-scale reshuffle is aimed at strengthening policing, intelligence gathering and public security across Maharashtra.
