NBCC completes Rs. 334.35 Crore Medical College & Hospital Project in Chamba

Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, August 3, 2026: State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has successfully completed and handed over the Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College & Hospital in Chamba, a landmark healthcare project built at a cost of Rs. 334.35 crore.

The newly developed 200-bed medical institution was inaugurated on August 2, 2026, by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Designed to strengthen healthcare delivery in the region, the modern campus will offer improved medical services to residents of Chamba and neighbouring districts while serving as a centre for medical education and professional training.

The project forms part of NBCC’s growing portfolio of public infrastructure developments across India and is expected to reduce the need for patients from remote areas to travel outside the district for advanced healthcare facilities.

With this successful delivery, NBCC has added another significant healthcare infrastructure project to its list of completed national assignments.
