Recent changes in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) have introduced new leadership assignments. IRS-IT officer Ravi Agrawal, as Chairman of CBDT, is now responsible for coordinating and overseeing the board’s overall functions, including the supervision of the DGIT (Investigation), CCITs (Central), and Pr DGIT (Intelligence & Criminal Investigation).

Ramesh Narain Parbat, Member (Legislation), has taken charge of the North Zone, while Prabodh Seth, Member (Administration), now oversees the West Zone. Both are IRS-IT officers.

In the Central Zone, Sanjay Kumar, Member (Audit & Judicial), has been appointed, and Harinder Bir Singh Gill, Member (Tax Payers Services & Revenue), has been assigned the East Zone. These leadership shifts aim to enhance the efficiency and coordination of tax administration across India.
