The Chhattisgarh High Court acquitted a man convicted of rape and other charges, ruling that sexual acts by a husband with his adult wife, including without her consent, cannot be considered rape or an offence. The court cited amendments to Section 375 IPC and the Navtej Singh Johar case in its judgment, ordering the man’s release.
