In a significant bureaucratic exercise, the Haryana government has ordered a major reshuffle of the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre, transferring and reassigning as many as 42 officers across the state. This wide-ranging reshuffle aims to enhance administrative efficiency, strengthen law enforcement, and align leadership with emerging governance priorities.
As per the latest orders, Sibash Kaviraj has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Panchkula, while Rakesh Kumar Arya has taken over as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order, Panchkula. Y Puran Kumar has been shifted as IGP, Rohtak Range. Sangeeta Kalia will now serve as Joint Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, and Mamta Singh has been posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Crime. Dr. M Ravi Kiran assumes charge as ADGP, Karnal Range.
In further appointments, Rajshree Singh becomes Commissioner of Police, Jhajjar, and Rakesh Kumar has been assigned as IG, Law and Order at Police Headquarters, Panchkula. Pankaj Kumar Nain takes charge as IG, Ambala Range, while Virendra Kumar will serve as Commandant, 1st IRB, Bhondsi. Sunil Kumar has been posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), State Crime Branch, and Vikrant Bhushan as SP, Special Task Force (STF).
The reshuffle also features Ms. Jasleen Kaur as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Headquarters, Jhajjar, and Medha Bhushan as SP, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Haryana. Rajesh Mohan has been named DCP, Traffic, Gurugram, while Prateek Gahlot has been appointed as Additional SP, Kurukshetra. Manpreet Singh has been given dual roles as ADC to the Governor and SP, Lokayukta.
Capping the reshuffle, Kuldeep Kumar has been posted as IG, Anti-Corruption Bureau, reflecting the state’s focus on transparency and integrity in governance. This comprehensive reallocation of senior police officials marks a major strategic move to reinforce law and order mechanisms and administrative leadership throughout Haryana.
